BNS homes LTD in Winnipeg, MB is seeking an experienced construction worker to read blueprints, lay out and assemble structural components, and supervise a small crew on residential projects.

Position is permanent full-time, on-site only, with a hourly wage of 31.40 CAD and benefits typical for field construction work. A valid driver’s license and ability to work at the job site are required.

Qualificações

• Candidates must have 2–3 years of related experience.
• Experience reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and safe work practices.

Responsabilidades

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Supervise other workers
• Estimate costs and materials
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures.
