Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Journeyman HVAC Technician to join our Two Rivers Lodge team in Fort St John, BC. The Journeyman HVAC Technician is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, installation, and dismantling of systems. Work may also include projects within the trade to install, maintain, repair, and overhaul central air conditioning systems, commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, and combined heating, ventilation, and cooling systems. The position operates on a rotational schedule.

The hourly wage for this role is $44.93 CAD. Working on a rotation of 14 days on, and 14 days off.

Responsibilities:

• Completes timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects/deficiencies.
• Performs scheduled maintenance service on HVAC and Refrigeration systems and fixtures.
• Provides input into the planned and scheduled work and assists with the completion of the committed schedule.
• Assists with the scoping, estimating, planning, and execution of new work or projects.
• Ensures all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met.
• Ensures all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.
• Ensures all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Certified HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal).
• Class B ticket.
• Current certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform.
• Class 5 license and a clean driver’s abstract are required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent ability to read drawings and schematics.
• Ability to build and work in a team environment, along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety.
• Willing and able to travel.
• Highly experienced with customer/client/user management in a 24/7 operation with a strong customer focus.
• Effectively solve problems.

Compensation:

Base wage: $44.93/hr + opportunity for overtime.
