Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Fort St. John, BC, is seeking a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to maintain and repair our diesel, CNG, and electric fleet, using modern diagnostic tools and diagnostics to keep equipment running.

The role requires a recognized Heavy Duty apprenticeship with Red Seal or BC Journeyperson, a valid Class 5 license, safety focus, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Heavy Duty Mechanic apprenticeship with Red Seal or BC Journeyperson certification.
• Proven experience diagnosing and maintaining diesel, CNG, and electric systems.
• Safety-focused with ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair diesel, CNG, gas, and electric heavy-duty equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and document repairs and parts.
• Plan repairs and coordinate with regional schedules.
