Southwest Properties in Halifax, NS is seeking an experienced Electrician to oversee electrical repairs in residential buildings and resident units, and to troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, pumps and BAS equipment.

You will report to the Senior HVAC Technician and work Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:00pm, with on-call rotation and compensation. The role emphasizes safety, proactive maintenance, and keeping tenants comfortable while maintaining detailed maintenance logs.

Qualifications

• Must be a Journeyman Electrician with relevant province certification.
• 3–5 years of experience with building mechanical and control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in electrical and HVAC systems.

Responsabilités

• Perform major and minor electrical repairs in residential buildings and resident units.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, pumps, motors, ventilation, valves, sensors, and BAS equipment.
• Report to the Senior HVAC Technician and coordinate with building operations.
• Assist with preventative maintenance across current and future properties.
• Maintain operation of mechanical and building systems to optimize efficiency.
• Log maintenance activities and inventory, and respond to tenant requests professionally.
