Job summary

BGIS is seeking a skilled Journeyman/Apprentice to join our team in Nova Scotia. You will install and maintain electrical systems in new construction and ongoing maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with codes and customer specifications.

The role requires 2+ years of trade experience, NSAA certification, and strong safety awareness. You will work outdoors in varying conditions and collaborate with a team to keep equipment running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification as a registered Electrical Apprentice in NSAA.
• Minimum of 2 years of trade experience (apprenticeship included).
• Knowledge of Nova Scotia Electrical Safety Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and all applicable legislation.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduits and fittings.
• Pull wire/cable through conduits and install distribution and control equipment.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Install fixtures and devices for industrial applications.
• Troubleshoot repairs safely and efficiently.
• Maintain power distribution systems and safety practices.
