Job summary

PTW Energy Services is seeking a Journeyman Electrician and Instrumentation Technician to join our team on industrial construction projects in Western Canada. You will install electrical systems, interpret drawings, and ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.

The role requires an electrical certificate with instrumentation experience, plus strong safety awareness and the ability to work in varied environments.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Electrician certificate or Red Seal preferred.
• Instrumentation experience is required.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Valid driver’s license and flexibility for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician and Instrumentation Technician to join our team on various construction projects. You will install electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred)
• Instrumentation experience required
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
• Valid driver's licence
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage ranging from $47.50, commensurate with experience and certification
• Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
