Position Overview:

Dove Electric is growing, and we are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman

Electrician to join our team. We specialize in commercial electrical projects across

Winnipeg and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety mindset, a

passion for craftsmanship, and the aspiration to contribute effectively to a growing and

dynamic team.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics for electrical systems.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience with fire alarm systems, motor control, conduit installation, power distribution, and lighting.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with renovation processes related to electrical installations.
  • Experience with commercial electrical projects.
  • Self-motivated, hard-working, and safety minded.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine electrical layouts.
  • Work with low-voltage systems, including power, lighting, and communications.
  • Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
  • Renovate and upgrade existing electrical systems to meet current standards.
  • Hourly Rate: $42.80 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime available as needed
