PTW is hiring Electrical Journeymen to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario for various future positions. The role involves reading and interpreting drawings, testing equipment, and installing and repairing industrial electrical systems on site.

You will work with AC/DC motors, PLCs, switchgear, transformers, and control circuits, ensuring compliance with electrical codes. Local travel and shift flexibility are part of the job, with competitive hourly wages and safety-focused culture.

Qualifikationen

• Must be a Licensed 309A Electrical Journeyperson.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Aufgaben

• Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Tests electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Installs, examines, replaces, or repairs AC/DC Motors and Drives, PLC's, 480V power, 120V control circuits, 4160-volt switchgear, transformers, motors, starters, relays, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical controls.
• Installs, examines, replaces, or repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
• Sizes and installs electrical circuits including panels, wire size and type, conduit, protective devices, switches, and related equipment needed to comply with the CEC and/or NEC or OEC.
• Fabricates, installs and/or runs conduit, 3-Phase work, motor terminations, control and instrument troubleshooting and panel work.

PTW is hiringElectrical Journeymen to join ourteam in Hamilton, Ontario for various future positions.

GOOD TO KNOW:

• Shift:5 days on/ 2 days off, or 4 days on 3 days off, or 10 days on 4 days off, or 14 days on 7 days off variable depending on job.


• Must be local to the Greater Toronto/ Hamilton areas or willing to travel


• Wage: $43-45/ hour

A DAY IN THE LIFE

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a Licensed 309A Electrical Journeyperson


• Must be able to take initiative, work independently as well as in a team.


• Must be reliable and dependable (i.e.: punctual and ready to work).


• Excellent communication skills.


• A demonstrated ability to work safely.


• Preference given to those with previous Industrial experience, but not necessarily a requirement

TICKETS REQUIREMENTS

• Must have valid safety tickets (CSTS-20, Standard First Aid, Working at Heights, AWP, WHMIS)


• A valid Class G driver's license is required.
