Job summary

Mark Wilson's Better used cars in Guelph, ON is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Technician to diagnose, test and repair vehicle systems, perform preventative maintenance, and mentor apprentices in a fast-paced dealership environment. You will work with OEM standards and ensure safety and quality in every repair.

Strong knowledge across makes/models, a provincially recognized Journeyman certificate (Red Seal a plus), and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Provincial Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate is required or in progress.
• Red Seal Certification is an asset.
• Post-secondary automotive program completion is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test and repair vehicle systems to OEM standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspect brakes, fuel systems and engines.
• Mentor apprentices and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
• Document work performed on repair orders with clear notes and warranty considerations.
• Coordinate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage repairs and customer communication.
