Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Heritage Valley in Edmonton, AB, is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Technician to diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems to OEM standards. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspect critical components, and support apprentices, fostering a safe, high‑quality service environment.

The role requires a provincially recognized Journeyman certificate (Red Seal is a plus), strong knowledge of multiple makes, and the ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment.

Qualifications

• Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate (completed or in process).
• Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset.
• Completion of a related post-secondary program and/or training courses.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems to OEM standards.
• Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage repairs and cycle times.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend repairs for safety and reliability.
• Document all work on the repair order per OEM standards.
• Mentor apprentices and maintain a safe work environment.
