Job summary

ADF GROUP INC. in Terrebonne, Canada, is seeking a skilled operator to join our steel fabrication team. You will assist with daily tasks and load material using overhead cranes, jib cranes or forklifts while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

The role emphasizes teamwork, autonomy, and initiative, and involves handling steel parts with production equipment and applying masking as required.

Qualifications

• One year's plant experience in the steel industry (an asset).
• Ability to cooperate, adapt, autonomy, manual dexterity and initiative.
• Organizational skills.
• Knowledge of loading materials in compliance with safety principles.
• Know how to operate overhead crane and/or perform rigging operations (an asset).
• Ability to operate an angle grinder or other hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist other employees in their daily tasks.
• Manipulate material with overhead cranes, jib cranes or forklifts.
• Keep the working area clean.
• Clean steel pieces using production equipment.
• Safely load, solidify, balance and tie the loads in the truck.
• Apply masking on steel parts.

Job description

• Regular schedule of 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) or 4 days of 10 hours (Monday to Thursday).
• Several schedules are possible, offering flexibility in start times (between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.) and end times.
• Evening shift : Monday to Thursday, from 3:15p.m to 1:45a.m.

Compensation

• Salary varies according to experience and shift - Salary range from $21.22/hr to $29.86/hr and Evening shift premium of $1.75/h;

Contributing in this role is :

• Assist the other employees in their daily tasks;
• Manipulate material with overhead cranes, jib cranes or forklifts;
• Keep the working area clean;
• Clean steel pieces using production equipment;

What we are looking for

• Ability to operate an angle grinder or other hand tools;
• Know how to operate an overhead crane and/or know how to perform rigging operations (an asset);
• One (1) year's plant experience in the steel industry (an asset);
• Demonstrate cooperation, adaptation, autonomy, manual dexterity and initiative;
• Organizational skills;
• Knowledge of best practices for loading materials in compliance with occupational health and safety principles.
