Job summary

Gold Fields Windfall is launching a major project in northern Québec. We seek a surface service pumping laborer to help operate and inspect 6-inch Godwin-type diesel pumps, ensuring reliability on site and adherence to safety standards.

Based at Windfall and Barry sites, you’ll work a 15 days on / 13 days off schedule. Transportation, accommodation, and meals are provided to support your focus on a successful startup and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma in mechanics or a similar field.
• Experience in pumping system management with 6-inch Godwin-type diesel pumps.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pumps operate properly and perform regular inspections.
• Diagnose and resolve technical failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on pumps to ensure efficiency.
• Optimize the performance of pumping equipment.

Reporting to the surface service supervisor, the specialized surface service pumping laborerwill ensure that the pumps are operating properly and perform regular inspections. Based at the Windfall and Barry site in the Nord-du-Québec region, the worker will be required to work a schedule of 15 days on followed by 13 days off. Transportation, accommodation, and meals are provided.

Duties and responsibilities

• Comply with occupational health and safety and environmental policies and rules at all times;
• Ensure the proper functioning of pumps and perform regular inspections;
• Quickly diagnose and resolve technical failures;
• Perform preventive maintenance on pumps to ensure equipment efficiency;
• Optimize the performance of pumping equipment;
• Keep accurate records of operations and interventions;
• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations;
• Ensure the safety of common areas on site (such as lighting);

Qualifications
