Job summary

Echo NDE, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwood Service Corporation, provides full service non-destructive testing, inspection, and integrity services across North America. Our wide range of services targets maintenance, integrity, and construction for facility and pipeline sectors.

We seek Phased Array Technicians to support our PLI division across Western Canada and the United States, performing PAUT on piping long seams and girth welds in live pipeline environments, and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

  • CGSB UT2 certificate required.
  • PCN PAUT Level 2 or equivalent required.
  • CGSB MT2 certificate required.
  • Knowledge of pipeline integrity inspections essential.
  • Ability to manage large data sets and maintain accuracy.
  • Clear written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

  • Locate, identify, and interpret pipeline flaws using NDE methods.
  • Perform PAUT inspections on piping seams and girth welds.
  • Review inspection reports and assist teammates with reporting.
  • Ensure inspections follow ASME codes and standards.
  • Interpret data with accuracy and work with field crews.
  • Collaborate with project teams across Western Canada and the US.

Position Details:

Echo NDE is seeking Phased Array Technicians to support our PLI division across Western Canada and the United States.

This position is ideal for technicians with strong PAUT and code-based inspection experience who thrive in a fast-paced field environment, performing critical integrity assessments on pipeline assets across North America.

Responsibilities
  • Locate, identify, and interpret pipeline flaws utilizing various NDE inspection methods.
  • Ability to perform various examinations on live natural gas or liquid pipelines.
  • Review of pipeline integrity inspection report, including assisting other pipeline integrity technicians with reporting.
  • Perform Phased Array (PAUT) on inspections of piping long seams, girth welds on piping and related equipment.
  • Execute inspections in accordance with ASME codes and standards.
  • Interpret and evaluate inspection data with accuracy and integrity.
  • Work collaboratively with field crews and project teams.
Requirements
  • CGSB Ultrasonic Testing UT2 certificate.
  • PCN PAUT Level 2 or equivalent.
  • CGSB Magnetic Particle Testing MT2 certificate.
  • Knowledge of the pipeline industry and, more specifically, pipeline integrity inspections required.
  • Ability to manage and organize large and varied amounts of data.
  • Possess good analytical skills, detail oriented.
  • Be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally (English).
  • Be able to pass a vision and color detection test.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license minimum (class 5) with a clean driving record.
  • Able to work well within a team environment.
