Echo NDE is seeking an API 653 Inspector to join our team in Calgary, AB, with travel to multiple worksites across Canada. You will perform inspections of storage tanks and pressure-retaining equipment and prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations.

The role requires API 653 certification and preferably NDT certifications, with strong report writing, communication, and safety awareness. Travel across Western Canada and a valid driver''s license are required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections and non‑destructive examinations of aboveground storage tanks and pressure‑retaining equipment in accordance with API 653 and applicable industry standards.
  • Assess equipment condition and integrity to ensure compliance with regulatory, client, and company requirements.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, deficiencies, and recommendations.
  • Provide technical recommendations regarding repair, alteration, re‑rating, replacement, and fitness‑for‑service evaluations.
  • Assist clients in the application and interpretation of inspection techniques, codes, standards, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and NDT personnel to support inspection programs and asset integrity initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and site‑specific requirements while actively participating in safety programs and hazard assessments.
  • Support tank inspection planning, turnaround activities, and integrity management programs.
  • Maintain applicable certifications and stay current with industry codes, standards, and best practices.

Echo NDE is currently seeking an API 653 Inspector to join and contribute to our team. This is a full‑time permanent position reporting to the Operations Manager and will be based out of Calgary, AB, with travel to and from multiple worksites throughout Canada.

  • Perform visual inspections and non‑destructive examinations of aboveground storage tanks and pressure‑retaining equipment in accordance with API 653 and applicable industry standards
  • Assess equipment condition and integrity to ensure compliance with regulatory, client, and company requirements
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, deficiencies, and recommendations
