Job summary

Common Ground Co-operative in Ontario is seeking a Job Coach to provide high-level support, coordinate daily operations across CGC-supported social enterprise locations, including food service and cleaning, and deliver skill-building workshops.

The role involves covering multiple sites, coordinating scheduling, payroll timesheets, inventory, and reporting, while building relationships with clients, partners, and volunteers to foster community inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Developmental Services, Social Services or a related field (or 5+ years of relevant experience).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities using best-practice service standards.
  • Experience in small business or social enterprise operations (hospitality and food service preferred).
  • Outstanding rapport-building, conflict resolution, active listening, and constructive feedback skills.
  • Clear oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey abstract concepts adaptively.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Works well both independently and as a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid, Food Handling, and Adult Crisis Intervention Prevention certifications (required, or willing to obtain upon hire)
  • Background in business operations or administration (an asset).
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (required)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across select social enterprise locations, conducting regular site visits, and managing communications with contracted clients.
  • Coordinate core business planning functions: scheduling, payroll timesheet processing, and inventory.
  • Assist the agency accountant to manage enterprise finances, including budget tracking, margin review, invoice follow-ups, and month-end cash flow reconciliation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers; coordinate on-site and off-site catering operations.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify growth opportunities and set annual measurable performance targets.
  • Design and facilitate skill-building workshops tailored to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Support partners to develop Individual Support Plans (ISPs), tracking goal progress, and fostering workplace social development.
  • Promote leadership development by facilitating partnership meetings, outreach events, fundraising, and membership recruitment.
  • Prepare mandatory agency reports, incident documentation, and progress records accurately and on time.
  • Assist with volunteer training and actively promote community inclusion and agency membership
  • Provide site coverage for other CGC-supported enterprise initiatives as needed.

Job Summary

The Job Coach is responsible for providing consistent, high-level support, operational coordination, and skill development for individuals with developmental disabilities.
