Job summary

Priceline’s Technology team is seeking a Java Full-Stack Developer to help design, build and optimize RESTful APIs and modern front-end features. You will work in a fast-paced, ideas-led environment, contributing to critical projects and collaborating across a cross-functional agile team.

You’ll showcase Core Java skills, use Spring, React, GraphQL, and SQL to deliver high-performance services, while leveraging containerized microservices in a cloud environment (GCP/AWS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Core Java and Spring Frameworks; Web Services/APIs.
• Front-end with JavaScript and React; GraphQL for data querying.

• Contribute to full-stack initiatives by building dynamic, user-facing features using React/JavaScript and integrating them with GraphQL APIs.


• Apply your programming skills towards building low latency and high throughput transactional services with continuous integration and automation testing.


• Implement SQL composition skills that collects and queries data for investigation and analysis in real time from our applications.


• Utilize your knowledge to understand our codebase, systems and business requirements to effectively make changes to our applications.


• Effectively collaborate and engage in team efforts, speak up for what you think are the best solutions and be able to converse respectfully and compromise when necessary.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.


• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and development.


• Coding experience with Core Java programming


• Comfort and experience with Spring Frameworks, Web Services and APIs.


• Front-end development experience with JavaScript and React, along with a solid understanding of GraphQL for efficient data querying.


• Experience leveraging AI coding tools to accelerate workflows (Claude or Cursor preferred).


• Thorough SQL compositions skills for composing queries and analysis.


• An Influencer of the use of Git and Gitflow.


• Experience in Microservices, Kubernetes, Dockers is a big positive.


• Experience with developing on Cloud, especially GCP and AWS.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

The salary range for this position is $100,00-120,000 CAD.
