Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering and development experience.

Java Developer

This role is eligible for our hybrid work model: Two days in-office. In this role, you will:

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and development.
• Expertise in Core Java and Spring Boot for building high-performance applications.
• Thorough SQL composition skills for querying and analysis.
• Experience with observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, New Relic) to troubleshoot and optimize performance.
• Familiarity with event-streaming platforms like Kafka.
• Openness to utilizing modern GenAI tools (e.g., Gemini, Cursor) to enhance productivity.
• Proficiency in version control best practices using Git and Gitflow.
• Experience in Microservices, Kubernetes, and Docker is a big positive.
• Experience with developing on Cloud, especially GCP and AWS.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant. The salary range for this position is $100,000-120,000 CAD.
