Job summary

Prolifics in Montreal, QC seeks a senior software engineering leader to provide technical vision for large-scale systems. You will define architecture, lead distributed architectures and micr oservices, and mentor engineers to deliver high-quality software on time.

You will collaborate with senior leadership to shape technology strategy, align efforts with business goals, and ensure robust delivery across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7-15 years of expert-level experience in the Java ecosystem with memory management and modern language features.
• Proven track record architecting and delivering enterprise-grade applications.
• Mastery of Object-Oriented Design principles and architectural patterns.
• Experience designing complex, large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Advanced DevOps expertise including cloud infrastructure management and source control strategies.
• Nice to Have: Kotlin, Scala, serverless architectures, big data tech like Hadoop/Spark.

What you'll bring to the role: (Skills Required)

• Ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives and understand the financial aspects of technology decisions.
• Nice to Have Skills:
• Experience with multiple JVM languages (e.g., Kotlin, Scala).
• Experience with serverless architectures.
