Job summary

ATCO Energy Systems in Calgary offers a 12-month co-op position within the Talent Acquisition team. You will gain exposure to recruitment, onboarding, and broader talent management initiatives while contributing to meaningful projects.

As part of the role, you will coordinate communications for students and leaders, assist with job postings, onboarding, and campus engagement events, and research wage subsidies and funding opportunities to support training and workforce programs.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in HR, business, or related post-secondary programs.
• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate co-op (or internship) program.
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical vocabulary.

Who you are:

• Currently enrolled in HR, business, or other related post-secondary programs.
• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate co-op (or internship) program at a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Have excellent computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Be able to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and concisely, using appropriate technical vocabulary.

What you get to do:

This role will primarily support the Talent Acquisition team, contributing to recruitment and attraction initiatives while gaining exposure to and supporting broader Talent Management programs and activities.

• Assist with full recruitment cycle from job posting administration to background-check administration and tracking.
• Review, update, and organize communications for students and leaders.
• Support onboarding preparation and ongoing program administration.
• Plan and coordinate summer student engagement events.
• Support the planning and delivery of winter campus engagement activities.
• Research wage subsidies and funding opportunities related to training, development, and workforce programs.
• Assist with preparing application documents and funding submissions.
• Track application deadlines, approvals, reporting requirements, and supporting records.
• Support HR data clean-up, validation, and reporting.
• Assist with identifying practical key performance indicators to measure program activity and outcomes.
• Assist with converting and digitizing leadership development content into Cornerstone learning modules.
• Provide coordination and administrative support for learning and leadership development initiatives.
