Job summary

Canlan Sports is hiring janitors to join our facility operations team across multiple shifts. The role includes cleaning, minor maintenance, and keeping the sports complex grounds in top condition.

We offer Part-Time Day, Full-Time Afternoon, and Full-Time Overnight shifts with a wage of $20.50–$22.60 per hour. Applicants should have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license is a plus, and be flexible for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license is an asset.
• Building Service Worker Certificate (BC) is preferred.
• Previous experience as a commercial buildings janitor is preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, and call outs).
• Approachable and team oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in line with local codes and safety standards.
• Keep entrances, grounds, and parking areas clean, safe, and presentable.
• Perform grounds care tasks including grass cutting and edging.
• Assist with snow and debris removal as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness checklists and records (windows, parking lot, property).
• Conduct routine floor care: vacuuming, scrubbing, waxing, buffing.

Canlan Sports is currently seeking Janitors to join our facility operations team. We have multiple shifts available to accommodate our operational needs.

Available Shifts:

Part-Time – Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Full-Time – Afternoon Shift: 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM

Full-Time – Overnight Shift: 1:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Rate of Pay: $20.50 - $22.60/ hour

Job Summary

We are currently looking for a pro-active janitor that is a hands-on individual who will perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties to ensure the overall upkeep of the sports complex and surrounding grounds. Their primary responsibilities include cleaning and performing small repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes
• Ensure that entrances, grounds, and parking lot are kept clean, clear and safe including:
• Property & grounds cleanup
• Grass cutting and edging
• Seasonal snow and debris removal
• Maintain appropriate checklists, records and reports with respect to:
• Window cleanliness
• Parking lot & property cleaning checklist
• Perform vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures
• Assist with minor maintenance as required
• Assist in Ice Maintenance during peak periods, short staffing or as required

Education and Knowledge Requirements

• Completed high school education or equivalent is an asset
• Valid driver’s license an asset
• Building Service Worker Certificate (BC)
• Previous experience as a commercial buildings janitor (preferred)\
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends and call outs)
• Approachable and team orientated with great communication skills (verbal and written)
