Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

The Janitor/Building Caretaker will contribute to Gwillimdale Farms by performing general routine cleaning and sanitation duties inside our facilities, including but not limited to offices, the shop, lunch/break rooms, kitchens, restrooms, and housing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform daily cleaning tasks in the Production Plant, including washrooms, lunchrooms, kitchens, common areas, sweeping, mopping, surface cleaning, and garbage disposal.
2. Perform daily cleaning tasks in the Main Office, including washrooms, lunchrooms, kitchens, common areas, sweeping, mopping, surface cleaning, and garbage disposal.
3. Perform daily cleaning tasks in the Back Shop, including washrooms, lunchrooms, kitchens, common areas, sweeping, mopping, surface cleaning, and garbage disposal.
4. Maintain cleanliness at the Storage Facility, including washrooms, lunchrooms, kitchens, common areas, sweeping, mopping, surface cleaning, and garbage disposal.
5. Complete all required paperwork and checklists daily and weekly for audit purposes.
6. Complete all assigned training modules on ADP.
7. Monitor and manage inventory related to cleaning supplies and equipment.
8. Complete necessary paperwork related to food safety protocols.
9. Prepare facilities for migrant housing arrivals, departures, and public health inspections.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience

• Previous cleaning experience in an office or industrial setting is an asset.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Valid G Class Driver’s License is required.
• WHMIS training is an asset.
