Qualifications

• Ability to operate ride-on and walk-behind auto-scrubbers.
• Able to push/pull up to 23 kg and lift up to 23 kg as needed.
• Willingness to work under varying weather conditions outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Cleans carpets, including steam cleaning and shampooing.
• Strips and waxes floors and maintains tile surfaces.
• Operates auto-scrubbers and related floor machines.
• Sweeps, mops, polishes and disinfects floors and rooms.
• Performs waste management and linen logistics.
• Sets up meeting rooms and events as required.
• Moves boxes and furniture and assists with general campus cleaning.
• Adheres to infection control practices and site policies.

Janitor – Housekeeping Main Complex.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleans carpets, including steam cleaning and shampooing
• Strips and waxes floors
• Scrubs and seals tile floors
• Operates auto scrubbers, floor stripping and buffing machine
• Sweeps and mops floors
• Performs waste management functions
• Clean linen delivery, soiled linen pickup
• Performs work on a ladder
• Sweeps and cleans the grounds around the campus
• Meeting room and special event setups
• Moves boxes & furniture
• Washes walls & windows
• Terminal cleaning of patient rooms
• General cleaning (including washrooms and main kitchen)
• Adheres to infection control practices, departmental policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current High school completion or equivalent required
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred
• Ability to operate ride-on and walk behind auto-scrubber preffered
• Ability to push/pull up to a maximum weight of 20 kg preffered
• Ability to lift maximum weight (23 kgs)
• Ability to work under extreme weather conditions (i.e. heat or cold when working outdoors)
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Good communication skills
