Job summary

Richardson International is seeking a Janitor for its Portage la Prairie, Manitoba location. The role reports to the QA Supervisor and focuses on cleanliness and sanitation of the facility through proactive inspection and thorough cleaning.

Responsibilities include office and common area cleaning, monitoring plant conditions, accurate documentation, and compliance with food safety, health, safety, and fire prevention regulations. Evening/weekend overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a processing environment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to overtime including evenings and weekends.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Experience with floor buffing would be an asset.

We currently have an opportunity for a Janitor at our Portage la Prairie, Manitoba location. Reporting to the QA Supervisor, the Janitor position is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of common areas through the pro-active inspection and thorough cleaning of the facility.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Ability to work in a processing environment and adverse conditions (confined spaces, heights, hot environments)
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; planning and organizational skills
• Physically capable of lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to effectively wear respiratory protectionAbility to work overtime including evenings and week-ends may be required
• Proficiency with computers
• Experience with floor buffing, waxing is an asset
