Responsibilities

• Prepares test automation scripts and test reports.
• Develops product knowledge through training and self-study.
• Investigates test anomalies through data and design documentation.
• Prepares problem reports describing test failures and defects.
• Identify test objectives and test cases and traceability.
• Keep current with company test processes and methods and perform design reviews.
• Participate in resolving integration issues and rectification of anomalies.
• Perform independent review of test results.

ITV Specialist Junior

• Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid)
• Pay Rate: $29.19/ hour
• Contract Length: 12 Months

We at Raise are hiring a ITV Specialist Junior for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they're now expanding their team to meet rising demand.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Performs analysis of system, subsystem and software requirements to define validation methods, and test cases
• Performs integration and test activities in-house and at project sites to mitigate the key project commissioning risks
• Prepares Test Procedures in accordance with ITV test plans
• Performs commissioning tests in plant and at project sites
• Prepares test automation scripts
• Prepares test reports which record the pass, fail status of planned tests and identify problems detected during the tests
• Develops product knowledge through formal and informal training, OJT, and self-study.
• Investigates test anomalies through analysis of data files, design documentation and interaction with development departments
• Prepares problem reports in the defect tracking system describing test failures and defects
• Identify test objectives and test cases
• Keep current with company test processes and methods
• Perform traceability analysis
• Perform design reviews
• Participate in resolving integration issue, problem identification, analysis and rectification of anomalies
• Perform the independent review of test results

Key Requirements:

• B.A.Sc Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent
• 1-2 years' experience in testing of embedded real time systems or equivalent software or hardware test experience
• Real/time embedded mission critical system test experience
• Knowledge of railway signaling techniques
• Knowledge of test methods and procedures
• Competence in technical writing
• Fluent English language

Preferred Qualifications

• Company product knowledge (SelTrac)
• Knowledge of systems to be employed.
• Understanding of the roles of other departments as relating to Verification and Validation/Test
