We are a full-line supplier of steel products to the drywall and structural steel framing industry in Canada. Our core business includes products such as studs, tracks, slotted tracks, z-bars, resilient channels, drywall accessories, carrying channels, bridging clips, and expansion laths. All our products are CSSBI Certified and Canadian tested. We serve a diverse customer base across residential, commercial, and industrial markets in Canada and the United States, including apartments, mixed-use developments, dormitories, hotels, offices, hospitals, and more.

An IT Technician at our industrial plant is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the plant's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks. This role ensures the efficient and secure operation of IT systems to support production processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, servers, and network equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software issues.
• Maintaining and upgrading software and hardware components.
• Network Management:
• Building and maintaining LANs and WANs.
• Configuring routers, switches, and other network devices.
• Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues.
• User Support and Technical Assistance:
• Providing technical support to plant employees.
• Training users on new systems.
• Resolving technical problems.
• Security and Compliance:
• Ensuring IT system security and data protection.
• Implementing security measures like firewalls and antivirus software.
• Maintaining compliance with regulations and standards.
• Documentation and Inventory:
• Keeping accurate records of IT infrastructure.
• Tracking hardware and software assets.
• Additional responsibilities:
• Participating in technology upgrades and implementations.
• Assisting with server backup and recovery.
• Working outside regular hours during emergencies.

Salary: $19 - $21.50 per hour.
