Job summary

Cavtera is seeking an IT Systems Administrator in Kanata, ON to own and evolve our internal IT environment. You will manage Google Workspace, Hexnode-based device management, Apple hardware deployment, onboarding/offboarding, and office networking as Cavtera scales from ~30 to 100+ employees.

The role emphasizes ownership, continuous learning, and building scalable IT processes. You will work autonomously to secure and streamline IT operations across the company.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4-8 years of professional experience in IT administration or similar.
• Experience supporting technology needs of a small or growing organization.
• Strong experience administering Google Workspace and core services.
• Experience with MDM or endpoint management platforms (Hexnode/Jamf/Kandji/Intune).
• Familiarity with macOS and Apple hardware in business environments.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Understanding of IAM concepts including SSO, MFA, RBAC, and user lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Co-Own Google Workspace administration: users, groups, permissions, security settings, and core services.
• Manage endpoint devices with Hexnode: enrollment, profiles, security policies, deployment, lifecycle.
• Own hardware procurement and deployment focusing on Apple devices and accessories.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding: accounts, devices, permissions, access with security controls.
• Support internal IT issues and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity.
• Oversee office networking: Wi-Fi, switching, internet, network hardware.
