Job summary

Northland Properties is seeking an IT Support Analyst 1 based in Revelstoke to provide front-line technical assistance for desktops, printers, and network issues. You will translate complex tech concepts for non-technical users and ensure issues are resolved to end-user satisfaction.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, customer service, and documentation skills, with a focus on Windows environments, POS or E‑commerce systems, and basic networking knowledge.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year IT support or related Windows experience, or recent university grad in CS.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong written documentation and note-taking skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Experience supporting POS or E-Commerce systems.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wireless.

IT - Support Analyst 1
Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for customer requests, analyze problems, and elevate issues when necessary
  • Communicate technical information to nontechnical users
  • Troubleshoot desktop and printer hardware and software issues; resolve issues to the end user's satisfaction
  • Install, configure, and test all new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN and connectivity issues
Experience Requirements:
  • Possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the resolution of issues related to desktop, applications, or network systems in a Windows environment
    OR
  • A university degree or diploma in computer science recent graduate
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong written documentation and note-taking skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Experience supporting POS or E-Commerce systems.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts including:
    • TCP/IP
    • DNS
    • DHCP
    • VPN Connectivity
    • Wireless Networking
