Job summary

Robertson & Company Ltd. in Markham, Ontario, invites an experienced IT - Specialty Developer IV to join a top North American financial institution.

This is a 12-month contract with potential to extend or convert, offering a starting pay rate of CAD 74 per hour and a hybrid work arrangement. You will design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI, integrate with ServiceNow, CLM, and KMS, and participate in reviews and testing.

Qualifications

• Post secondary degree required.
• 8+ years of security technology experience.
• 5+ years with Python and FastAPI.
• 3+ years automations using IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Familiar with TLS/SSL PKI concepts.
• Exposure to Venafi, HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk or similar PKI/secrets tools.
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations.
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows servers.
• Venafi REST API experience is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 support and production troubleshooting.

Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private clients, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.

Introduction

Robertson is seeking a skilled IT - Specialty Developer IV to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.

Contract Period: 12 months with potential to extend or convert

Pay Rate: Starting form $74 per hour

Location: Markham, ON

Location Type: Hybrid

Business Hours: Monday-Friday, Core business hours

Job Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python/FastAPI that serve as the orchestration layer for certificate or key lifecycle workflows

Experience & Qualification Requirements

• Post secondary degree required
• 8+ years of security related technology experience
• 5+ years of strong professional experience with Python, specifically FastAPI
• 3+ years of experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms
• Familiarity with TLS/SSL certificate management and PKI concepts (issuance, renewal, revocation)
• Exposure to Venafi, HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, or similar PKI/secrets management tools
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations (CMDB, workflow automation)
• Experience supporting Linux and/or Windows server environments
• Venafi Rest API experience (strong asset)
