Job summary

University of Ottawa is seeking an experienced IT Security-focused Project Manager to support strategic IT operations on the Main Campus. The role reports to the Senior Manager, IT Security, and drives the design, testing and deployment of enterprise applications while coordinating with business units and vendors.

Responsibilities include project planning, risk analysis, cross-functional leadership, and change management to ensure successful releases, with a 35-hour workweek in a hybrid on-site

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
• Minimum five years in project planning, risk analysis and PM in a complex IT environment.
• Knowledge of PM methodologies and multi-year, cross-functional projects including information security.
• Experience creating time, budget and resource estimates and risk mitigation plans.
• Knowledge of information security best practices and policies.
• Knowledge of the University of Ottawa IT policies and guidelines.
• Ability to influence clients to align with university goals.
• Advanced interpersonal skills for communication with clients, vendors and tech teams.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.
• Proactive on new technologies and trends.
• Bilingual French and English (spoken and written).
