Job summary

Raise is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager in Toronto, hybrid. You will lead complex software delivery projects, define plans, budgets and schedules to meet business goals.

The role requires 8+ years in IT project management, experience with Waterfall/Agile, Jira/Confluence, and governance. You will mentor teams and present to sponsors.

Qualifications

• IT Project Manager with 8+ years of experience.
• Strong budget management background (8+ years).
• Infrastructure project management experience (8+ years).
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile projects (8+ years).
• Experience with SharePoint/Jira/Confluence (5+ years).
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies (5+ years).
• Cyber security project delivery experience (3+ years).
• Strong project governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Define test plans and ensure products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing.
• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope.
• Effectively oversee project staff (direct reports, matrixed reports, contractors, and interns).
• Efficiently communicate to stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.
• Ensure that necessary risk assessments are continually reviewed and monitored and proactively addressed.
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures.
• Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.
• Manage medium to large scale projects with stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources.
• Manage project resources including procuring staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising.
• Partner with functional project teams to define business requirements.
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses.
• Successfully plan, execute, control and close projects against defined scope and budget.

IT Project Manager - Senior

• Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (2-3 days in the office, typically Monday or Tuesday, with Friday potentially being the 3rd day. Schedule is subject to change)
• Pay Rate: $78.65/hr - $90.90/hr
• Contract Length: 12 Months with possibility for extension

Responsibilities:

• Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing.
• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope.
• Effectively oversee project staff (direct reports, matrixed reports, contractors, and interns), delegating work to appropriate leads.
• Efficiently communicate to stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.
• Ensure that necessary risk assessments are continually reviewed and monitored and proactively addressed in a timely fashion.
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures.

Must Have Requirement:

• IT Project Manager experience - 8+ years
• Strong project budget management background - 8+ years
• Infrastructure project management experience - 8+ years
• Experience with managing waterfall/Agile projects - 8+ years
• Experience with SharePoint/Jira and Confluence - 5 years
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies - 5+ years
• Experience with Cyber security project delivery - 3+ years
• Strong experience with project governance

Nice to Have:

• PMP Certification
• Familiarity with ServiceNow for ITSM
• Working knowledge of security and cloud technologies
• Prior experience using Planview or Clarity as a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool
• Cyber security technologies certification or working towards certification
