Our Client, a Banking company, is looking for an IT - Project Manager Niche for their Toronto, ON/Hybrid location.
Responsibilities:
- Indirectly manage a project team consisting of Business Analysts, Business SMEs, and technology resources (where applicable).
- Engage executive sponsors to ensure active participation in project initiatives.
- Identify and manage required outcomes by engaging appropriate stakeholders.
- Establish effective project oversight and governance bodies, engaging the correct levels to support project direction.
- Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, including the Project Sponsor, Business Project Owner, Program Manager, and Portfolio Manager, about significant project changes.
- Respond to inquiries and escalate concerns from stakeholders at all levels.
- Provide advice and guidance on project management best practices to business partners and project teams.
- Collaborate with partners to ensure resource allocation for successful project delivery.
- Deliver project outcomes aligned with cost, timing, scope, and quality objectives.
- Generate cost estimates and manage project finances, including risk considerations.
- Identify and track project risks, developing mitigation plans.
- Forecast and manage budgets, providing monthly financial reports in line with standards.
- Apply project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, maintaining proper documentation.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise complex assignments.
- Design and implement new methods and procedures.
- Coordinate system development for major applications, defining requirements including data needs, analysis, and programming.
- Develop and prioritize deliverables and requirements.
- Define project phases, set deadlines, and manage staff.
- Create project plans with milestones.
- Coordinate meetings and interface with business units, staff, and service providers.
- Oversee multiple projects and project managers, managing large and complex teams.
- Set operational direction, work autonomously, and collaborate with other business heads.
- Manage large-scale applications, programs, or projects across multiple product lines.
- Ensure project delivery meets scope, cost, schedule, and quality targets.
- Perform risk management activities and escalate issues when necessary.
- Manage resources and budgets in collaboration with Project Managers.
- Maintain client satisfaction through effective communication and issue resolution.
- Work with and influence senior leaders and IT Managers.
- Manage a team of 50-100 people.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing large, complex IT projects.
- Experience with full project lifecycle development.
- Proficiency with project methodology tools.
- PMI or ITIL certification.
- Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience.
