Scope of Work / Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of technology installation projects across multiple active sites.

The successful candidate will serve as the central point of coordination between internal teams, subcontractors, tradespeople, general contractors, building owners, consultants, and clients. This is a hands-on project delivery role requiring strong budget management, field coordination, technical understanding, and stakeholder communication.

The role will involve:

  • Managing technology installation projects from kickoff through completion and closeout.
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects across different sites.
  • Owning project budgets, tracking financial variance, and proactively identifying cost risks.
  • Preventing project overruns and escalating financial concerns when required.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for subcontractors and tradespeople.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, trades, general contractors, and other external partners.
  • Coordinating with general contractors, building owners, consultants, and internal Sales, Procurement, Technical Support, and Accounting teams.
  • Leading project meetings, site walkthroughs, milestone reviews, and project coordination activities.
  • Reading and interpreting floor plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Identifying discrepancies in drawings or plans before they result in site issues.
  • Tracking project milestones, risks, delays, deficiencies, and outstanding action items.
  • Proactively escalating issues that could impact project timelines, budgets, or delivery.
  • Ensuring project documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Managing work orders, project notes, closeout packages, and customer sign-offs.
  • Providing consistent project status updates to clients and senior management.
  • Supporting improvements to project hand-offs, internal workflows, and delivery processes.
  • Managing and mentoring two direct-report Project Coordinators.
  • Supporting the growth and development of the project delivery team as the organization expands.

This is not a traditional software or IT project management position. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in technology installation, construction, low-voltage systems, audiovisual, security, systems integration, or a similar field environment, and will be comfortable working directly with trades and site teams.

M5

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, and technical drawings and identify discrepancies that could affect project delivery.

M7

Valid driver's licence and personal vehicle required for regular travel to client and project sites.

Mileage and fuel expenses associated with site travel will be reimbursed.
