Job summary

West Fraser is seeking an IT procurement professional to manage North America-wide IT products, licenses, and services. You will create POs from PRs, track orders, and resolve customs and compliance issues for hardware.

You will work with ServiceNow for requests, support requesters, and assist Accounting with invoice inquiries, while maintaining PO/invoice maintenance and vendor relations. Location is Vancouver, BC.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in procurement, business, finance or related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of IT procurement or purchasing experience.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail with numbers.
  • Experience evaluating vendors on price, quality, availability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

Job description

You’ll Do:

Play a crucial role in executing IT procurement efforts across North America. Your responsibilities will include managing the company's supply of IT products, licenses, and services.

  • Create purchase orders (POs) from approved purchase requisitions (PRs), communicate POs to vendors, and track orders.
  • Troubleshoot issues with customs, duties, and compliance documentation for hardware imports/exports.
  • Handle procurement requests through the ServiceNow ticket system.
  • Provide support to requesters – Training, coding, returns, vendor creation and other details.
  • Assist Accounting with invoice related inquiries.
  • PO & Invoice Maintenance that includes weekly on-hold invoice review, monthly received but not invoiced review and quarterly open PO review.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, customers, team members, and managers.
You have:
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to make a positive impact
  • Bachelor’s degree in procurement, business, finance, or a related field would be preferred.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in IT procurement or purchasing
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to work with numbers quickly and accurately
  • A systematic approach to problem-solving and implementing solutions
  • Experience in evaluating vendors based on price, quality, and availability
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
Compensation Package:
  • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The salary range is between $70,000 - $82,000/per year.
