The Network Administrator maintains and supports the infrastructure by monitoring the system’s health and implementing improvements. They also support end users by providing advanced troubleshooting and responding to tickets created by the Service Desk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and support network devices such as switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, network ports, paging and telecommunication systems, and UPS systems.
• Manage network and cyber security, collaborating with vendors to implement solutions and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure regular and efficient backups of network configurations.
• Administer client, cloud, and on-premise server-based systems such as Microsoft Azure, VMware, Hyper-V, VoIP, domain server, and print server.
• Document procedures, maintain detailed records of network problems and inventories.
• Stay current on network security issues, including antivirus, spam, and spoofing technologies, and recommend solutions as needed.
• Oversee the security and functionality of wireless systems, including VLAN creation, guest access management, and deployment of access points.

Qualifications and Skills:

• University degree or college diploma in a related field with at least 2 years of experience in Network or IT Systems Administration.
• Proficiency with LAN/WAN technologies, firewalls, routers, switches, and related hardware/software.
• Proactive, flexible, self-motivated team player.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and technical administration skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with occasional tight deadlines.

Working Requirements:

• Regular on-site attendance at our Toronto office from Monday to Friday; remote or hybrid options are not available.
• On-call duties for emergency support.
