Job summary

G Mining Services is seeking an IT Infrastructure Lead to oversee the operation and evolution of our network and systems. The role focuses on securing, optimizing and scaling our IT backbone across offices and remote sites.

You will lead a team of admins, steer cloud and on‑prem environments, and collaborate with vendors to drive efficient infrastructure programs aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of experience in systems and network administration.
• 3–5+ years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong experience with networking and enterprise systems.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CCNP, Azure/AWS).
• Experience with databases MySQL, PostgreSQL and MSSQL.
• Scripting and PowerShell proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration of servers, networks, cloud environments and enterprise systems.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
• Oversee system upgrades, patch management and lifecycle planning.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
• Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, and firewall configurations for offices.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of system and network administrators.
• Define IT infrastructure roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Manage vendors, service providers and technology partners.
• Oversee IT budgets related to infrastructure and operations.
• Act as escalation point for critical technical issues.
• Drive automation and process improvements.
• Maintain documentation of systems, procedures and configurations.

Job description

Under the supervision of the IT Director, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation of network infrastructures, workstations, software and peripherals used in the company, while also leading and developing the IT infrastructure and support team.

Summary of responsibilities

• Oversee IT budgets related to infrastructure and operations
• Act as escalation point for critical technical issues
• Drive automation and process improvements

Requirements

• The position will be based at the G Mining Services office in Brossard, in the Quartier Solar
