Join our dynamic team as a Financial Analyst specializing in IT expenses, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy and driving strategic insights. You'll develop and maintain sophisticated financial models and dashboards using Power BI and Excel, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting processes. Bring your expertise in data analysis to support budgeting activities and optimize financial reporting for better business decisions.

What You'll Do Here

  • Prepare and analyze IT financial expense reports around large purchase orders, staff augmentation, and consulting spend, amongst other items, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards using Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Validate and perform data cleansing tasks as necessary
  • Conduct detailed trending, variance analysis and provide insights to management on IT expense management performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and improve reporting processes.
  • Assist in monthly reporting update processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing relevant financial analysis and insights.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the financial reporting function.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all financial reports and dashboards.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, business intelligence, data visualization or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, DAX formulas, Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with financial ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP), and MS Sharepoint is a plus.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, Power BI certification) is a plus but not required.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
