Job summary

Olds College Of Agriculture & Technology is seeking an Instructor, Information Technology to develop and teach in the new IT Diploma program. The role emphasizes experiential learning with ITSM principles, responsible AI use, and practical application in enterprise IT.

The instructor will plan and deliver instruction, assess learners, and coordinate curriculum development while liaising with WSAT and industry partners to ensure program relevance and learner success.

Qualifications

• An information technology bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum 4 years work experience in the information technology sector; or a combination of work experience and/or industry certification.
• Knowledge areas include network engineering, systems administration (Windows/Linux), virtualization/storage, cloud/infrastructure as code, security operations, automation/script­ing, ITSM practices, and responsible AIOps.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver IT instruction and assess learners.
• Develop curriculum for the new IT Diploma program.
• Collaborate with Werklund School of Agriculture and Technology and industry partners.
• Support student success and accessibility, including accommodations as needed.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and participate in program advancement.
