MDS Aero Support Corporation is seeking an IT Support / Computer Systems Technician to manage our facility’s IT systems, including computers, networks, internet access and related technology in Ottawa, Canada.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for hardware, software and network inquiries, perform repairs, install configurations, and support IT initiatives across departments. Join a team focused on delivering innovative gas turbine engine solutions worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in an IT support role is preferred.
• Post-secondary diploma in Computer Science or related field or MCSE is preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Windows Server and Active Directory Services.
• Experience working with and administering the O365 environment.
• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the first point of contact for users’ hardware, software and network infrastructure questions and requests.
• Perform troubleshooting and execute needed repairs.
• Install and configure hardware equipment and software programs.
• Execute different maintenance activities when needed.
• Work with management and other departments to assist in the implementation of the IT plan and train the individuals who will need to use it.
• Establish guidelines for evaluating the IT systems and determine where changes should be made.
• Assist in budgeting for IT expenses, including the purchase of new equipment and software.
• Perform other ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned.

As an IT Support / Computer Systems Technician, you will manage the MDS facility’s IT systems which include computers, networks, internet access and other technology.

The reference target total cash compensation range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and target variable compensation, is between $45,000 and $55,000 CAD annually. Actual compensation within this range will be determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role also includes additional comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being, financial security, and work-life balance.
