Merit Services is seeking an IT Consultant to join our client’s dynamic team in Brantford. As an IT Consultant, your main responsibility will be to collaborate closely with clients to understand their business objectives, evaluate their IT needs, and suggest strategies to improve productivity and support business growth. Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with clients to evaluate their IT systems, identify areas for improvement, and propose tailored solutions aligned with their business goals.
  2. Conduct comprehensive assessments of client needs, gather and document data, and identify discrepancies through comparison.
  3. Provide expert advice on IT strategies, systems, and technologies to ensure alignment with client objectives and industry standards.
  4. Assist clients in planning IT projects, including defining scope, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
  5. Create detailed project proposals with timelines, deliverables, and cost estimates.
  6. Oversee the execution of IT solutions, ensuring efficient project management and smooth deployment.
  7. Offer training and support to clients’ IT teams, facilitating knowledge exchange and technology integration.
  8. Keep clients updated on the latest IT trends, innovations, and regulations, providing valuable recommendations.
  9. Build strong relationships with clients, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and dedicated support to achieve their goals.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as an IT Consultant or similar role, providing IT consulting services to clients.
  3. Extensive knowledge in areas such as infrastructure, networks, security, cloud technologies, and business applications.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex IT environments and recommend practical solutions.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  6. Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.
  7. Professional certifications like ITIL, PMP, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desirable.
  8. Ability to understand business needs and organizational objectives and challenges.
