Job summary

Multimatic Inc in Ontario is seeking an IT Support professional to configure and maintain PC hardware, support Windows server platforms and desktop OS, and assist with network and printer systems.

The role includes onboarding and off-boarding users, maintaining an accurate hardware inventory, and liaising with vendors. Applicants must be enrolled in an IT or related degree program and demonstrate independent work capability.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college diploma or university degree in computer systems and engineering technology, information systems support, or a related field.
  • Excellent working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and WAN/LAN technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization, customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors, etc.
  • Must be a self-starter with an ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain all PC hardware per company specifications.
  • Maintain the physical network, including servers, printers, plotters, and switches.
  • Support Windows server platforms and desktop operating systems.
  • Install and maintain PC application programs per software specifications.
  • Provide support for all telephone systems and maintain hardware inventory.
  • Ensure label printers and scanner guns function and are maintained.
  • Assist with onboarding and off-boarding users.
  • Communicate with 3rd party vendors and managers.
  • Adhere to safety rules and ISO/IEC standards as applicable.

Job description

· Configuring and maintaining all PC hardware as per Multimatic Inc’s hardware specifications.· Assist in maintaining the physical network as required. This includes servers, printers, plotters, and switches, etc.· Assist in maintaining all Windows server platforms as required.· Provide technical support for all desktop operating systems.· Install and maintain PC application programs as per Multimatic Inc’s software specifications.· Support all telephone systems.· Assist in keeping an accurate hardware inventory of all computer equipment.· Help ensure all label printers and scanner guns are functioning and provide maintenance when needed.· Configuring and maintaining PC hardware as per INC’s hardware specifications.· Support a near zero downtime environment.· Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable.· Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Department Manager.· Abide by all company safety rules, responsibilities, policies, and procedures including the legislative requirements of the OHSA.· Work in compliance and conform to Environment and ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.· Adopt and practice Kaizen principles; participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.· Responsible for on-boarding and Off-boarding users· Ability to communicate with 3rd party vendors and managers4.
