Job summary

BRP is seeking a motivated IT audit professional to join the IT audit team in Canada. You will support the SOX audit program, document control designs, and test control effectiveness across various IT and business environments.

You will collaborate with IT, finance, and business teams to gain hands-on SOX experience and enhance IT general controls assessment. You’ll thrive if you have a bachelor’s degree, are working toward CISA/CPA, and possess strong Excel and PowerBI skills, with English

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business and technology, computer science, accounting, or related fields.
  • Pursuing a professional designation such as CISA or CPA (an asset).
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Strong documentation skills—rigor, organization, clarity, conciseness, and accuracy in writing and record-keeping.
  • Oral and written communication in English required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools such as PowerBI (an asset).
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence tool Copilot (an asset). Audit experience (an asset).
  • Basic understanding of ITGCs (an asset).
  • General knowledge of ERP SAP (an asset).

Responsibilities

  • Perform fieldwork, including documenting control design reviews and testing control effectiveness.
  • Assist SOX audit program execution across IT and finance environments.
  • Collaborate with IT, finance and business teams.
  • Develop agility by participating in special projects and adapting to changing priorities.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated professional, open to exploring new technologies and detail-oriented, to join our ITaudit team. In this role, you will report directly to the IT Audit Team Lead and actively contribute to the execution of our Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audit program. You will collaborate with various IT, finance, and business teams. This is a valuable opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in assessing and testing IT general controls across a variety of applications and infrastructure environments.

Education and Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in business and technology, computer science, accounting, or related fields
