Job summary

PwC Canada is seeking an Associate in Risk Services IT Audit to assess and strengthen technology controls underpinning reliability, security, and integrity of client information systems. You will work with experienced professionals to evaluate IT environments and support financial reporting across diverse sectors.

The role offers CPA support, paid study days, and exposure to AI/digital tools for future-ready capabilities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in post-secondary education and working to obtain the Canadian CPA prerequisite courses.
• Bilingual French and English (oral and written).
• Motivated to learn about technologies, IT practices and standards, infrastructure-related risks and controls in security and IT, as well as IT control frameworks.
• Motivated to learn about the analysis of IT risks and internal controls, including the establishment of control objectives and the design of control procedures.
• Motivated to learn about analyzing the impact of IT risks and internal controls on organizations’ financial, strategic, and operational objectives.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical, conceptualization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audit work efficiently while meeting timelines and budgets.
• Maintain constant communication with the lead advisor and/or director responsible for assignments.
• Clearly document audit evidence and validate its relevance and quality.
• Analyze the impact of control deficiencies identified during audit execution on financial data.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships within the department and with clients.
• Actively monitor external IT trends, threat assessments, and acquire knowledge on these topics.
• Identify business development opportunities to offer services from other departments to clients and present services to new potential clients.
