Who you are:

We seek talented individuals who can contribute to our growth and deliver results. Specifically, we are looking for a Senior IT Applications Specialist who is highly motivated, passionate about our success, and possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The role involves exploring, designing, and deploying AI solutions, including chatbots and advanced search functionalities, to enhance IT services and employee productivity.

What you'll do:

The Senior IT Applications Specialist will design, configure, implement, and maintain Geotab’s IT application systems, ensuring a secure and highly available environment. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing features to support business plans, troubleshooting complex application issues, and collaborating with internal and external teams to maximize benefits.

How you'll make an impact:

• Understand how your work fits into Geotab’s ecosystem and proactively identify problems.
• Own the design, planning, execution, and testing of projects and enhancements.
• Manage enterprise IT applications end-to-end.
• Collaborate with teams to solve problems, escalate issues when necessary, and develop long-term solutions.
• Establish relationships across teams for effective troubleshooting.
• Design, configure, and maintain applications, researching best practices.
• Lead or participate in projects as a technical expert.
• Analyze new application features for optimal use.
• Plan and test upgrades, ensuring systems operate correctly.
• Work closely with business owners to understand needs and set expectations.
• Perform daily health checks and optimize performance for high availability.
• Resolve complex production issues and advise management on technology directions.
• Lead knowledge transfer, documentation, and mentorship efforts.
• Create and maintain SOPs and technical documentation.
• Write automation scripts and leverage configuration management.
• Maintain knowledge of Docker containers, manage Active Directory, Google Workspace, MDM solutions, and Zero Trust Architecture.
• Prioritize requests, participate in after-hours on-call rotations, and support strategic initiatives.
• Lead AI-driven IT solutions, evaluate AI opportunities, and champion AI change management.

What you'll bring to the role:

• 5-8 years of experience supporting IT applications and cloud platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of ChromeOS, Windows, Mac, Linux, SSO (SAML & LDAPS), and Linux environments.
• Experience with Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, Zero Trust Architecture, and AI solutions.
• Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
• Professional IT certifications are highly valued.
