Job summary

The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) seeks a self-motivated Programmer Analyst (IT Application) to support and enhance multiple applications within the Information Technology Branch in Regina. On-site role reporting to the Application Supervisor, you will work on a range of custom and packaged software solutions.

You will gather requirements, design, develop, troubleshoot, test, document, and implement system changes, ensuring production support and data integrity while

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology; 1 year of related experience in analysis, design, development and support of multi-tier web-based and Windows systems.
• Strong programming background and experience building enterprise or web-based solutions.
• Experience with multi-tier systems; programming tools/languages include C#, SQL, XML, JavaScript, HTML, Visual Studio, .NET Framework.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL Server) and basic data modelling concepts.
• Familiarity with lifecycle methodologies and application development concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier two technical support for several business applications.
• Manage incidents, tasks, features and work items; perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Develop, test and document new system functionality and enhancements.
• Collaborate with ITB and business teams to plan releases, testing and implementation.
• Ensure data integrity and system security; maintain documentation and support knowledge base.
