| **Job Role** Reporting to the Manager of IT Operations, the Senior Technical Analyst is responsible for providing technical expertise on cross-platform operational issues, input into new services and technologies, and implementation of same. Infrastructure management –The Senior Technical Analyst is responsible for ensuring that information technology infrastructure is optimized and that sufficient capacity is available to meet the needs of the business. Working with the Technical Analysts, the Senior Technical Analyst is also responsible for ensuring that incidents are diagnosed and resolved in a timely manner in support of the business. Business continuity management – the Senior Technical Analyst is responsible for planning, implementing and testing information technology business continuity measures. Contribute to development and implementation of the Technology Program – the Senior Technical Analyst is responsible to take a leadership role and work with team members to develop and implement projects and NSSRs. The Senior Technical Analyst is responsible to develop, maintain, and implement aspects of the operational technology roadmap. Primary Responsibilities: Infrastructure management and capacity planning In conjunction with other member of the team, this position is responsible for development and implementation of the operational technology roadmap. This position will be responsible for input into and eventual implementation of enterprise applications and all aspects of the roadmap relating to IT infrastructure including – but not limited to – access, security, capacity and lifecycle planning for servers, storage, endpoint devices, management and monitoring systems. Contribute to development and implementation of the Technology Program Identify opportunities, conduct research and recommend new hardware and software products that produce optimal system performance and/or create efficiencies. This research may include, but is not limited to: working with vendors, attending trade shows, or independent research. Lead planning, documentation, and implementation of approved infrastructure projects. This position is a key participant in the unit’s technical architecture, strategic and operational planning processes. It is also a member of the Change Advisory Board which approves the implementation of all changes to the production environment. Identifying, analyzing and diagnosing incidents This position is responsible to identify and correct incidents related to all systems related to the provision of IT infrastructure as well as complex incidents on endpoint systems. This work may involve providing guidance and leadership to other team members in the correction of problems. The Senior Technical Analyst manages their time and is capable of prioritizing their workload in the face of competing or conflicting priorities and responsibilities. Designing, configuring and maintaining business continuity plans This position will contribute to the design, creation and testing of business continuity plans. This activity includes both business interruption planning and disaster recovery planning. Mentorship and guidance This position is expected to provide leadership and mentoring to Technical Analysts within the team. || **Qualifications** The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of six to ten years directly related work experience representing continuous learning is required. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience and current industry certifications in enterprise technologies used by SaskGaming, including Microsoft, VMware, Veeam and Dell, and experience in areas such as server administration, server virtualization, enterprise storage, backup and recovery, and hybrid cloud technologies. An acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered. || **Compensation** Salary range: $87,104 – $114,405 || **Competencies** Using a variety of assessment tools such as in-person interviews, written examinations and reference checks, candidates will be assessed against the following competencies: PROBLEM SOLVING: Identifies, plans and resolves complicated workplace problems and/or issues; and, ensures that work decisions are made based on SaskGaming’s policies, procedures, guidelines, operational and strategic direction.
