You will design, implement, and maintain advanced irrigation systems to optimize water usage and crop yields, working with farmers to assess needs and propose suitable technologies while providing technical support.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Water Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience designing, installing, or maintaining agricultural irrigation systems.
• Strong knowledge of hydrology, soil-water relationships, and crop water needs.
• Proficiency with different irrigation technologies and control systems.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess farm land and crop water requirements to design efficient irrigation systems.
• Install, program, and maintain various types of irrigation equipment (e.g., drip, sprinkler, pivot systems).
• Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Educate farmers on best practices for water management and efficient irrigation techniques.
