Job summary

Teck Resources Limited, Trail Operations, in Trail, BC, is seeking an experienced Journeyperson Ironworker (Temporary) to join our on-site team. Reporting to the Group Leader, you will work in a safe, collaborative environment within a large zinc and lead smelting complex.

Key duties include directing crane operators during fabrication, erecting hoisting equipment, dismantling structures and, when needed, fitting and welding metal parts.

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Red Seal Ironworker or Boilermaker certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in industrial maintenance environment and knowledge of CMMS preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Willing to participate in an assessment process for fitness, aptitudes and attributes.

Responsibilities

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to safety and environmental rules and sponsor safety.
• Direct activities of hoist or crane operators and other workers during fabrication, assembly, installation or repair of structures.
• Erect and install hoisting equipment and rigging.
• Dismantle structures and equipment.
• May fit and weld metal parts or sections together.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.

Role Overview

Teck is looking for an experienced Journeyperson Ironworker (Temporary) to join our team. Reporting to the Group Leader, the Journeyperson Ironworker or Boilermaker is responsible for the below.

Pay Range:

$51.79 per hour

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
