Job summary

Teck Resources Trail Operations in Trail, BC, is seeking an experienced Mobile Crane Operator to join our team. This on-site role reports to the Group Leader, Mobile and Lift, and requires living within 100 km of Trail.

Operate mobile cranes up to 80 tonnes, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with various trade disciplines while upholding safety and environmental rules. Relocation assistance is offered; no company housing.

Qualifications

  • Mobile Crane Operator Certification or Journeyperson Crane Operator Ticket is required.
  • Class 3 Driver's License with air brake endorsement required; Class 1 would be an asset.
  • Relocation assistance available, no camp or company housing.

Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Operate mobile cranes (up to 80 tonnes) to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
  • Ability to perform minor to complex lifting of equipment with various types of rigging
  • Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes
  • Ability to work within a flexible work environment with many trade disciplines

Education

Mobile Crane Operator Certification or Journeyperson Crane Operator Ticket
Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement
Class 1 License (Asset)

Role Overview

Teck is looking for an experienced Mobile Crane Operator to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Group Leader, Mobile and Lift.

This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Whether it's biking and skiing, or the laid-back atmosphere of fishing and hiking, there is something for everyone.

Please note this role does require the successful candidate to live within 100KM of Trail. British, Columbia. Relocation assistance will be offered, however there is no camp or company housing.

Key Responsibilities

Pay Range:

$50.40 per hour

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
