Job summary

Jardeg-Construction is recruiting an Ironworker Apprentice for the CNRL Albian Fall Outage near Fort McMurray, AB. There are day and night shifts with camp accommodations, and flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary.

The role starts as early as Oct 1 and runs through Oct 26, supporting an outage with safety-first operations. You’ll join a team delivering scaffolding, rigging, and structural assembly work on an industrial site.

Qualifications

• Registered Ironworker Apprentice with safety training.
• Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test required.
• CSTS 09 or CSO certification is required.
• H2S Alive certification is required.
• Confined Space and Fall Protection training required.
• Basic Rigging knowledge is expected.

Responsibilities

• Erect and install scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks and other hoisting equipment.
• Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials; assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures.
• Check alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding using an electric arc process.

Jardeg is recruiting Apprentice Structural Ironworkers’ to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the CNRL Albian site near Fort McMurray, Alberta for the 2026 Fall Outage. Day and night shifts are available. Flights are provided from Edmonton and Calgary.

Come be a part of an outstanding team working with industry leaders who have been executing work at the Albian site for over a decade. This is a temporary role starting as early as October 1st and lasting as late as October 26th.
