Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting Apprentice Structural Ironworkers to join Heartland Constructors Inc. at the CNRL Albian site near Fort McMurray, Alberta for the 2026 Fall Outage. Day and night shifts available. Flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary.

Responsibilities include erecting scaffolding, cranes, derricks; assembling rigging to move heavy equipment; assembling pre-fabricated metal structures; and checking alignments while bolting or tack welding with arc processes.

Qualifications

• Registered Ironworker Apprentice required.
• CSTS 09 or CSO certification required.
• H2S Alive training required.
• Fall protection experience or training required.
• Confined space training required.
• Basic rigging knowledge required.
• Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test must be completed.

• Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials; assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures.

Jardeg is recruiting Apprentice Structural Ironworkers’ to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the CNRL Albian site near Fort McMurray, Alberta for the 2026 Fall Outage. Day and night shifts are available. Flights are provided from Edmonton and Calgary.

Come be a part of an outstanding team working with industry leaders who have been executing work at the Albian site for over a decade. This is a temporary role starting as early as October 1st and lasting as late as October 26th.

Responsibilities:

• Erect and Install scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks and other hoisting equipment.
• Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials. Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures
• Check the alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process.
